LED Lighting- the new generation of Green lighting Light Emmitting Diode, or LED is not a recent scientific breakthrough, and yet it is making an impact at a time when the design industry is not willing to trade special effects and specialty lighting for energy efficient lighting. We chose LED for Casa Concept for all cove lighting in the house, for step lighting, path lighting and innovative effects. The results are phenomenal. Cooper Industries, the supplier of all the lighting for Casa Concept made it easy to achieve the design and mood results that we envisioned. This LED comes in strips that are custom made to length at the factory. We measured the run per application, gave the dimensions to the lighting consultant and chose the type that better suited the application. Houston Chronicles Spanish language newspaper LA VOZ did a beautiful spread on Christmas decor for the 2006 season, featuring Geraldinas ideas and thoughts on the aesthetics of the season. Latino photographer Carlos Sanchez did a superbly professional and artistic job. One of the most important points made by Geraldina, which is useful yearlong, is to EDIT your home decor for each season. Plainly explained by Geraldina, Dont just take out your 10 year supply of Christmas, Halloween,Easter, Valentine or other theme decorations and try to fit it on top of your year-long home decor. EDIT your regular decor: take a picture of what your room or area looks like, put away objects that are superfluous to the season, and then arrange your theme decorations. Casa Concept on film? Professional location scout Craig Busch came knocking at the courtyard doors of Casa Concept, in search of the perfect Latin home to be the backdrop for a new Walmart commercial. Mr. Busch shared his thoughts on qualities that he looks for in homes that he recommends for commercial shoots: Houses with rooms that flow, as opposed to those with cut up rooms well work best due to the amount of equipment and number of people involved in a typical commercial shooting. Spacious areas allow for alternatives and choices In this case, a modern hacienda room with stone and wood floors, arched stone openings and high beamed celilings evoked Latin architecture and roots, which is what Mr. Busch was looking for. The outdoor stucco walls in warm sienna color and the aged clay tile roof speak loudly of traditional Spanish colonial architecture still prevalent in modern construction in Latin America.
