Wise Residence Remodel, Southgate, Houston TX           

A circa 1935 cottage found untouched and outdated, this house had simple but strong design, good bones and exterior materials going for it, and an excellent location with proximity to the best areas of Houston. A thorough remodel ensued, with new electrical, first time insulation, efficient new windows, new lighting, and an attic conversion wich gave a small house the room for a home office, kid's playroom, and a grandparent's bedroom and bathroom. Modest rooms became modern spaces, such as the new master bathroom with plenty of natural light, a new master walk-in closet, and formal spaces that opened up into a flowing plan. A brand new modern kitchen transformed this cottage into a dream starter home.
